Elizabeth Brinton - Gallery

Elizabeth is a native of the Pacific Northwest. She has a degree in art from the University of Oregon. She is self taught as a printmaker, and she learned a great deal about technique by working in wallpaper factories. Printmaking, especially silk screen, is an ongoing pursuit. Elizabeth developed a method of reductive printing in order to use one screen for many colors. This results in prints of rich texture and saturated color. The natural environment and her experience of it are primary inspirations. Painting, ceramics, gardening, and Argentine tango are her other passions. 2006 marks her 30th year of making art as a full time profession. She works in her studio in Kirkland Washington when she is not traveling.
