Stephen Hazel - Gallery

Stephen Hazel is currently co-founder and artist-in-residence at Seattle's +=studio blu=+ and Beloved artist-in-residence at the Abbazia de San Vincenzo al Volturno in southern Italy. Educated as a potter, sculptor, and print artist, he finished his studies with Japan's great woodblock artist Hagiwara Hideo. Hazel has taught extensively and has been visiting artist at the University of Iowa, the University of Washington, and Cranbrook Academy. He divides his time between Seattle, Italy, and the village of Penedo, Portugal. His work has been widely collected and can be seen at the Library of Congress, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art as well as the Seattle Art Museum.
